A few weeks back I popped over to Target in search of one tiny thing… we all know how this ends, right?

I went looking for a few accessories, and came out with a cute skirt, a couple of tops, and this fabulous jumpsuit. Normally my Target binge shopping is reserved for the home section, but this time, while looking for this purse (which they didn’t have), I wandered into apparel and found myself slowly pulling a huge pile of items off the racks. And out of that huge pile came a few fantastic, affordable pieces that are now a part of my new wardrobe rotation… target black and white gingham skirt | coco kelley

Fact: I am not someone who gravitates towards wearing many prints. I love stripes. I’m down for a great leopard print. And sometimes – though rarely – I can sneak in a floral or tropical pattern that feels like my jam. But how on earth I’ve gone this long without having some black & white gingham in my rotation is beyond me!

Luckily, for all of us, it seems to be the pattern to wear this summer. Once I started looking, I realized it’s basically everywhere right now (obviously I’m better at spotting trends in the interiors world than the fashion world – ha!). So, I scooped up this classic skirt that feels equally appropriate for roaming the streets of Italy as it does the farmer’s market, as well as an adorable top with – what else – puff sleeves.three new favorite pieces from target for summer | black and white gingham skirttarget black and white gingham checkered puff sleeve blouse | favorite target finds on coco kelley

How cute is this piece!?? The belt makes it fun and flattering to dress up, but I really like it paired with my new favorite pair of overalls… target black and white gingham checkered puff sleeve blouse | favorite target finds on coco kelleytarget black and white gingham checkered puff sleeve blouse | favorite target finds on coco kelley

Pro tip: use the ‘belt’ to create a fun head wrap! It may feel a little more country than you’re down for, but I have to say that I’m loving this look for days that I need to feel comfy and functional at work, but also may also need to grab drinks with the girls later. I swap out tennis shoes for a pair of heels to dress it up, and I’m all set.

And, speaking of work… my new favorite black blazer with black and white stripe top from target | coco kelley

Is there anything more classic than a black blazer? Nope, and we should all own one. This was not a Target find, but the striped top was! It’s a perfect under-blazer layer because it’s sleeveless!

But back to this blazer. I have been on the hunt and found this one at Nordstrom and it is everything I need a blazer to be. Light, packable, with a little stretch and – of course – a stripe lining detail that looks so fun when cuffed! And, as promised in my last post, I am working hard on baring those arms for summer, sooooo… my new favorite black blazer with black and white stripe top from target | coco kelley

There you have it. Three really great affordable finds from Target, plus a few other favorites that I’m wearing right now! Oh, and the loafers are Madewell! Also a total classic that I’m glad I invested in.

And because I’m loving this print so much right now… a few more favorite wardrobe picks in black & white gingham! black-and-white-gingham-picks-for-summer-coco-kelley
