Milestones are made to be celebrated. This year, coco kelley quietly turned 10 back in May, and I’ve been scheming on how something big to do in honor of still being around these parts (more to come on that!).
This year also happens to mark the 20 year anniversary of Blu Dot – one of the my favorite sources for more original furniture and accessories. Lucky for us, they knew exactly what they wanted to do to celebrate: Give away $5000 worth of Blu Dot products to you all! And we we’re thrilled to partner with them to do it with this studio makeover!
Our studio has been in disarray since we moved in nearly a year ago. Between my kitchen renovation and wedding this past summer, it’s really been neglected in the styling department. Especially this little seating area where I had thrown an old sofa and pair of chairs and called it good for the last year. Needless to say – it was not good. It was pretty uninspiring actually.
Fast forward to a month or so ago when Blu Dot asked if we’d like to partner up on this giveaway. I said heck yes, and this leather sofa of my dreams became mine…
The leather is insanely yummy – so soft and comfortable! And it’s the perfect anchor to the space. I love having an armless piece in here because it helps keeps things feeling open. This studio is smaller than our last, so having more petite and low profile pieces is essential.
As you can see, we’re still working a bit on organizing, but it’s getting there! Thankfully, these pieces really pulled the studio makeover into shape.
We added this coffee table from Ikea to bring in some texture, and I brought in my pair of Serena & Lily pink stools from home that look much better and more useful in here!
You may have also noticed that perfect pink lamp sitting in the corner. I am obsessed with the peachy tone in this piece because it keeps it from being too girly, as does the shape. This is the Blu Dot Perimeter lamp, and I love it. I actually have a pair for either side of the desk, but I’m saving the rest of our office reveal for another day!
I’m so perfectly thrilled to have a place to perch while getting creative, and holding meetings in our studio!
