Confession – I love when I get to work with brands on collaborations like these because it pushes me to get creative with how I see their product. So, when Crate & Barrel asked me join the likes of this fabulous crew for some holiday styling, you bet I was up to the challenge! And my vision all started with these fabulously mod appetizer plates…
They set the tone for a more mid-century inspired Christmas party at home… I can just picture guests dressed in vintage attire and Dean Martin Christmas carols. It also inspired me to go with a fairly retro palette…
I love the combo of the citron yellow, aqua and green as the main colors here – with a dash of red for holiday spirit of course. Walnut accents add to the retro vibe. The pillow complete the look and are such an easy way to switch up color in a room! (You can find the houndstooth ones here and the yellow tweed here).
These little cocktail picks were another inspired favorite. Don’t forget that swanky decanter! Oh how I love setting up a good bar…
But let’s not forget the party table! Instead of my usual tabletop, I was all about creating loungy space for this gathering, so snacks and decor went on my big coffee table instead…
Pro tip: gold confetti = instant party. So do yellow plates, I think. Toss those pillows on to the floor and let your guests settle in with their drinks!
A few oversized baubles in a bowl, and you, my friends, are all set.
