I feel like some of the best house tours come out during the frenzied holiday season, and if you blink – you’ll miss them. Well, just in case that was you this season (raising my own hand here), I thought we’d kick off our official first day back with this stunning, dramatic soho loft belonging to one of my favorite design minds: Jenna Lyons.

All hail the bold use of pink velvet – a trend piece to be sure – in this oversized modular sofa that perfectly dominates the living room. In true Jenna fashion, she has managed to perfectly mix every type of style into this home with ease, making it at once aspirational and inviting.

One of the coolest features of this room is actually hidden – the TV slides out from behind the fireplace to fill the space between the mirror and the Cy Twombly art. Genius!

While the original article about the home appeared on T Magazine, it left me very hungry for more photos, so I went hunting onto the photographer’s site for more. Simon Watson – who regularly shoots for T and is amazing – thankfully added some more insight into the lovely Lyons loft. Including my favorite moment of the whole home: THIS KITCHEN.

I’m guessing that perhaps she doesn’t throw a ton of dinner parties as I don’t spy a dining room table nor a ton of storage here. But that island sure could serve well for a cocktail party! I just love the way the pink sofa looks in this shot too – feminine glam at its best! I don’t think I even need to mention how amazing the statement chandelier is, or the brass counter, camouflaged hood, trim around the doorway… the list goes on.

Details, details: did you notice how the room screen is a combination of fabric (Hermes, no less) and mirror? Gah. It’s so good. You should also note the placement of art in the home. I love that it’s a bit off center, and stand alone. No gallery walls in sight. And that huge gold #10 dominating the view? It was from her son’s birthday! So fun.

And here we have the most stunningly cozy master bedroom I’ve seen in quite some time. I love all that wood paneling so so much. I’ve definitely got a thing for it right now – it’s so perfect for bedrooms and dens. The open view into the master bathroom is also insanely luxurious and sexy.

Every inch of this master bath is calling my name, from the unapologetic use of marble to all that brass detail, and of course a herringbone floor.

Shoe closet shot: an obvious must. And yes there are about 300 pairs of shoes in there.

Remember how crazy we all went for Jenna’s first home tour? I love seeing her taste evolve into this even more sophisticated style that’s truly unique. What’s your favorite part? I myself might take a cue from her choice of dark paint colors for the next project in our home.
