I’ve got new life goals: Find the tiniest little cabin in the Riviera, paint the whole thing white, accent it with nautical-inspired brass hardware, and enjoy the view…
At just over 500 square feet, I’d say that this little cabin in San Remo is pretty much the most perfect vacation home I’ve ever seen. The ideal space to hole up with your lover whilst reading novels, watching the sea, and enjoying long and lazy Italian meals. To quote some Shakespeare: “though she be but little, she is fierce!”
No detail has been overlooked in this home. From the brass edging on the countertops to the dishes. Because amongst those life goals? Design your own china to match your Riviera cabin. As one does, of course. And how adorable are those ‘Moi’ and ‘Toi’ napkins?
This kitchen is actually an incredible use of storage space. I love the narrow cabinets above the open shelving. The fridge is no-doubt that small area to the left of the stove. And it appears the the benches for the breakfast nook also offer a bit of storage as well. If you look hard, you’ll also see some open shelving tucked behind the counter!
Upstairs lies not one but two bedrooms, if you can believe it. Both are lofted and simple. Keeping in the all-white with brass accents theme. I love the nautical lighting used throughout the home! It’s incredibly chic. And really, quite practical if you live by the sea!
The bathroom just keeps the theme going, with more smart use of storage, including that brass towel rack! Do you notice the switches and outlets? They are mounted on round wood throughout the home. If you go back and browse through all the photos you’ll notice them… but you don’t notice them. They blend so perfectly into the home!
And we haven’t even gotten to the best part yet…
A patio. With a piano. So your lover can play you sweet melodies while you sip your rosé on the patio, of course. This – quite literally – what heaven must look like. La mer Veille, I think I’m in love!
And while we all know how impossible getting this view might be… emulating this look? Maybe not as hard as you think! If you’re willing really go for it, then get your white paint out and use this finds to get you started.
