I’m here to shamelessly admit that the main thing that drew me most to this relaxed Parisian apartment was the palette. I stumbled upon an image from the dining room while searching for some other inspiration and there it was: that perfect combination of coral pink, green and red tones. Throw in some leather, all-white walls, and European architecture, and I’m sold! This lovely space is my definition of happy chic, and I’d gladly replicate it in my own home.
Raise your hand if you’re as obsessed with the whole ‘indoor window’ divider thing that’s been showing up more and more lately. This is an old trick of helping to let light throughout the house while dividing space and keeping things cozy. It can also contain kitchen smells to the kitchen while allowing for a more open feeling – a trick that I’m surprised hasn’t carried over more here in the US.
And how about those mismatched dining chairs!? YES YES YES PLEASE. I want to do this in our office real bad.
The mix of modern and antique is so good in here! With the dining area and the kitchen essentially being in the same space, I love that they still opted to make the dining table feel more formal. Although, I’m sure some of you are thinking, “velvet in the kitchen!” and I feel ya. Definitely not the most practical, but oh so chic! Also, these chairs are by Gubi and are pretty much commercial grade.
The bedroom lends some more surprises with a black and white jungle themed mural acting as the statement piece (no headboard needed!) to this perfect mauve pink bedding. I like that they carried the color palette in here too!
The one thing I always have the most envy of in Parisian apartments: the abundance of antiques. They have got to have it way easier over there, non? It’s much harder to track down these beauties at a somewhat reasonable price here. Especially on the west coast! I would love one of these oversized mirrors in my house!
And then there’s that perfect bedside lighting to top it all off. Sigh. The French really do know what they’re doing. Here’s how to get the look for yourself!
1. pink velvet chair | 2. opaque glass pendant light | 3. ‘harmony in chaos’ print | 4. green velvet pillow | 5. hamilton leather sofa | 6. la mae area rug | 7. regent mirror
