Enjoying a backyard patio in Montana in the winter may sound a bit far fetched to most people, but when it comes to the HGTV Dream Home 2019, it seems that nothing is out of the realm of possibility!
So, back in December, I packed my bags and headed to the lovely little resort town of Whitefish to join the team from Belgard in experiencing the great outdoors. Literally.
The house is set up in the mountains of Glacier National Park with a view of the Rocky Mountains and Whitefish Lake that seem to go on forever. The patio also goes on forever with several different areas to enjoy that make it truly usable year round.
The deck sits just off the dining room and is accessible from all the main rooms of the house. Then, it trickles down to the patio, built entirely with products from Belgard, where there’s a lounging area with the fireplace, tiered seating to take in the view, and a perfectly placed BBQ and outdoor dining spot too! 
Inside, the home really gives off that modern ski lodge vibe. Designed by my talented friend, Brian Patrick Flynn, I loved his choice of warmer orange tones throughout the main living space to really cozy things up. 
Across from this room is the dining space (which you get a peek of here) and the kitchen.The home is situated perfectly to maximize that gorgeous vista.
To give you a better idea… 
Here’s a nice birds eye view of the whole home! And from this perspective, you can see the patio featuring all the Belgard products. I like how the organic shape is defined by a few elements along the boundary, like the grill and – my favorite – the outdoor fireplace. The outdoor area is nearly as extensive as the inside of the home, and I love that. After all, if you’re in one of most beautiful places in the country – you should be outside enjoying it!

This little section of what I’m calling ‘stadium seating’ is kind of genius for maximizing seating and the view. For more information on the exact products used here, you can follow this link and get all the info you need.
My favorite Belgard product is the porcelain pavers they used at the entry of the home… 
The darker inset tile is called ‘Noon’ and it’s made to look like wide-plank wood floors. If you are in the market for this style, you have to give the catalog another look because this photo does not do it justice. It looks even better in the natural wood tones, in my opinion!
As for the rest of the house, well it’s just perfect. My mother has been filling out that giveaway form pretty much every day since I showed her these photos, and you can too.
