I think my favorite room in the house to re-imagine is the kitchen. Maybe it’s the fact that you can mix in so many cool materials, or that is can be the centerpiece of the home, but whatever the draw, I’m definitely into these details…
While all the clutter is making me go crossed eyed, this angular island in wood and brass is really a stunner – and so is the hood!
If you’re one for a modern aesthetic in the kitchen, this seems like an easy detail to incorporate into a remodel – floating the marble top a bit creates just enough visual interest.
Color lover? Why not add a pop of high gloss cabinetry to your kitchen island? I’d probably opt for yellow or green…
The addition of a chopping block surface in kitchens is nothing new, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen it done quite like this. I love that it acts as a dining surface, although i’m sure it could be used for prepping as well!
