As you all probably know by now, this month found us moving offices once again! I’m so excited for this next space. It’s full of character (historic building) and all black and white (blank slate). Which means I’m on the hunt for fresh office design inspiration in a major way!
Our office is what I like to call a creative collective of like-minded businesses. We all compliment each other in different ways – photographers, graphic designers, etc. And, of course, we all have our own aesthetic. So, creating a space that’s appealing to all of us to work in is no small feat! But when I came across the offices for lifestyle brand Spell & the Gypsy in the Badlands Journal, I immediately found some common ground.
I cannot get over the way they transformed this former wood carving factory into a clean, white functional space! But what’s most impressive are the details they added to make it feel like a tropical getaway. And I’m not just talking about the plethora of plants.
These cozy seating areas for meetings and breaks add much needed warmth, color and texture to the clean modern office furnishings. Together, they balance so nicely! You know I’m not one for extreme boho interiors, so this is just the right amount for me. I also love the wishbone chairs as an bonus Scandinavian element.
Can you imagine this being your conference room at work? You’ll notice that there are windows everywhere through the space, even in private areas, to allow the light to stream through.
Architectural details like these curved windows that you would expect in Greece (not in an office!) make you wonder if you’re at work or on vacation!? And of course there’s more plant perfection. Remind me to immediately spray paint all my pots a matte white please.
This little nook might be my favorite with the built-in bench and tons of floor pillows for a major inspiration session.
While our office is not nearly this large – or cool – I’m sure we’ll be borrowing some details from this gorgeous space. All-white is a must for me in any office, and I love the way they’ve brought in just the right amount of layered textiles, Moroccan decor, and architectural details to add personality and escapism all in one.
It’s a pretty easy style to get for yourself too! Here’s how we’d do it:
1. cream loop pillow | 2. turkish carpet pillow | 3. basket pendant | 4. white and wood desk | 5. set of baskets | 6. rolling desk chair | 7. moroccan azilal rug | 8. wood dough bowl
What I like most about all of this – of course – is that the accessories are really telling the story. Which means that, should you tire of your Moroccan-bohemian lifestyle, you can easily swap them out for something new! PS – those desks from Room & Board are most likely what we’ll be putting in our own office, and I can’t wait! I love the mix of materials. If you wanna keep up to date on our office progress, keep following on insta. It’ll be a while before the big reveal!
