As much as I hate to admit it, my thoughts lately turned towards fall. I’ve made it a goal of mine to spend August really trying to get organized before things start to pick up around here, so rather than having my nesting focused on the home, it’s actually all about the office right now…

So it’s no surprise that the Room of the Week be an inspiring workspace! Well… it’s actually not a real workspace. Or a home for that matter. It’s the result of a collaboration between Vitra + Artek named the VitraHaus, created with Ilse Crawford of Studio Ilse who is one of my absolute favorites.

I love the way these work tables lead into an area that feels more livable, all in one small space. The bench tucked up against the table is what creates this transition, but obviously it could also be functional as extra seating, so, well, that’s just genius.

So yes, that’s why you’re seeing so much of their product here, but the point is really in the creative use of space. These little workstations lining one wall. Which – in case you missed – it is one ginormous corkboard. This detail pretty much sealed the deal for me having to talk about the space.

But what I really love is how this space – despite all the modern furnishings – really does feel warm.

And because these are too good not to share…

The ‘dining room’. Which is really just an amazing excuse to throw a party, right?
