Originally, I wanted to create a drink with lots of delicious botanical-inspired ingredients and black vodka… but it was impossible to get my hands on it! So I decided to whip up something strong and sinister with ingredients that were a bit more accessible. We’re calling it “The Dark”.
The Dark // serves one
- 1 oz. Irish Whiskey (or whiskey of your choice
- 1 oz. Coffee Liqueur
- ½ oz. Walnut Liqueur
- Edible flowers for garnish
This one’s the easy kind. You don’t even need a shaker, simply pour the ingredients together over a large ice cube (the kind real whiskey drinker’s use) and stir. Garnish with edible flowers if you can get ’em.
It’s the perfect after-dinner sipper. And sip you should because it’s a strong one. After all, you should be just a little bit afraid of The Dark…
