Jackson Hole is one of those destinations that’s always been on my travel list for a variety of reasons, but now I have some serious motivation to get out there thanks to the gorgeous modern mountain house design at Caldera House.
Located in Teton Village, and decorated with what would appear to be no expense spared, this collection of suites is so stunning, they would probably have to kick me out upon checkout, as I cling to the Apparatus sconces and Pendleton blankets that cover these rooms.
There are eight suites total in the resort, and each feels like its own unique design while maintaining a similar thread of luxe vintage meets mountain cabin that gives everything an elevated chalet vibe. It’s no surprise that some of the spaces were designed by one of my favorite firms, Commune. The rest of the interiors were designed by CLB architects who did a beautiful job with the entire building.
I love how they used traditional materials in unique ways, like geometrically cut slate in the bath…
Or the look of a patchwork quilt in the rug…
Each suite has their own living space, kitchen and baths to accompany the bedrooms, so you really are living in your own mini lodge! And, each one is impeccably designed – which may explain the insane price tag on actually renting these suites out. They are certainly not for the majority, and I can only hope that those who can afford it also appreciate it!
There are also some fun traditional elements, like plaid curtains, used throughout the design that I am 100% into. I completely love when materials like this are used in a way that evokes nostalgia – even if the space may not have that history. The layers of pattern here are so cozy, in addition to all the wood!
Along with the beautiful decor come some lovely amenities. Not only are the bedrooms begging for you to just stay in and be cozy all day, but the baths too. You can also enjoy private dinners catered to your suite, a on-site spa (of course!) and views like these from the coziness of your own firepit.

There is also a fabulous member’s lounge that I’m obsessed with – the colors and details are just so good! I would absolutely enjoy a little après ski time here.
Hello tiny fringe on a velvet club chair. Hello yummy paprika leather. Hello copper accents, stunning lighting, and sunlight pouring through the windows while you warm yourself by the fireplace at the same time. So often ‘club rooms’ like this are overly heavy and dark, and I love that this one is so light!
And to fill your belly after a long day on the slopes? This very retro-vibe restaurant that serves a lovely modern Italian menu. Complete with plaid curtains of course! I love the velvet banquettes. So chic and so vintage at the same time! I mean, that carpet!!
Who wants to go in with me on a dreamy winter vacation!??
